Pops and Lee too!

Grandma Sharon and P

Pela does love her Grandma.

Prayer Need

A family in our community suffered a great loss yesterday.  Gordon and Mandy Kimble lost their son yesterday to complications with flu.  He was 2 years old and leaves his older sister with out a brother and parents with out their son.  Please pray for them as you are able; for peace and worship in spite of this and for the Lord to fill the gap this loss leaves.  I cannot imagine the grief they must feel.

Thanks all,

KC Bouldering

Yesterday cleared up to about 40 degrees yesterday, and a few of us done got outside to climb.  It was pretty muddy, and Pela was crashed,  so Sarah stayed behind this time.  I went out with the brothers Fyffe.   Good fellows, and fun to be with.  Here's to the coming season.

G-Force

Anyone remember this show? My brother and I were big fans early on in life.

can't help it

I am more inclined to buy a product if I know they aren't lying to me, or puffing their product up with my need for it. I don't really want a snickers. Still...

um...

This is worth sitting through for #5. #5 comes from somewhere special. He's going to be speaking here in KC a few blocks from here next week. And after beholding #5, how can we not go and poke our heads in?

today's cutie

Maybe it's just me, for I study every little cranny of the images of Pela, but I think I see the look of her personality in those eyes. She's going to be a curious one, I think. And she'll be our little P. Oh well, it's good for a father to be buffaloed.

I think I am cutting television media from my diet...

and chewy flavored wax. If you watch this, you will be changed. And you will never get those precious 30 seconds back.

Thanks Nic, I think.

good morning world

Sarah and Pela are hanging with the grandparents in MN.  It's cold up there I hear.  It's pretty cold here in KC too.  12 degrees is enough to make the bed deeper in the mornings.
It's lord of the flies week at our place.  It's been 3 days and it's starting to smell.  The cats have taken to fighting more fiercely than ever, leaving tufts of hair every few centimeters.  The tufts mingle with crushed fritos for a stimulating contrast when crunched further under foot.

I think they are planning a coup.  At least that's what I am suspecting.  I caught owen trying to post my bass on ebay.  Luckily, he couldn't figure out my password.  It's only a matter of time.  I threatened to shave his cheeks; both sets.  That seemed to set him back a few paces, but you are always at the mercy of a cat.  I know this.  You don't bleed because they have chosen to allow it.

Sarah, I promise to make the boys clean before you come back.

today's flashback

I have not lost my taste for this sort of thing. Precise and aware, this stuff is little but excellent. Only one of our friends took the field to this level. Sorry Scott, no quality Phantom footage...
Anyhow, marching band taught me how to avoid traffic. Pay attention, and be efficient. Avoid the worm!
Adrenaline junkies were we all if one fancied this sort of thing. Can't recreate those moments.
If you've never watched, and you have a few minutes, check it out.

viva italia

today's dose of fine bass. Do you get a refund if you overplay?

let us, in light of the above post, never forget what might happen if one doesn't leave one's room to share one's gift. Public street corners may in fact reveal more about one's ability(to one's self) than a private room. Heck, you be the judge. C L I C K .
Uncomfortable yet?
I have posted this before, but I thought it could bear a repeat...

Whoa! what a flash!

Winter games

What to do when it's 12 degrees outside?  Answer:hibernate.  Sarah and I enjoyed some soup and tea with Pela's friend Amanda yesterday.  It was a good weekend of being busy and relaxed.

so happy together...

pie

The chicas and I went to our favorite eating joint today.  Our meal was covered by a salesman here.  Nice guy.  Anyhow, salmon cakes and a quiche later, we're looking tripleberry pie in the face.  Delicious.
Come try some, won't you?

Hah! Twins.

That's funny, Johnson friends; twins...  She's way cuter and has way more hair.
I am taller.  And I can roll my 'R's.  That seems to impress her.
I just think this outfit is pretty quality.  The legs are now a little too short for Pela's stout calves.  The green socks are a nice finishing touch.  mmhm.

bouldering season approaches...

There is rock in KC.  After Sarah recovered from the marathon of rearing a girl from the womb, she's back to cranking again.  The look in her eye is evidence that she still has the fire.  Or maybe it was a lot colder than we thought it was.  Or maybe we were cut short because a couple of the Empayuhh fellas whipped a golf ball dangerously close to our little chica nestled nearby.
Wait, what?

Guess which Star Wars movie is Pela's favorite?

things cats do

Here's a couple more shots of the cats doing what they do.  They meow for the toys they banish under the couch, and if their cries go unanswered, they promptly turn and gnaw on each other.

weekends are good.

Yep, weekends are good. Hanging with the girl I married and the girl she carried is my idea of a good time.
