in spite of the world, life is grand

meaning that my freaking day trying to work with inefficiency all around has been a bit frustrating to say the least.  So, again, my phone jingles, and I get images like these.  Makes my day, knowing my friends are doing work that has lasting value.  Not that my job has no lasting value, I just sometimes feel like I am hopping mini ice bergs trying to stay out of the frigid water surrounding me.  Lasting value?  Get strong by hopping ice bergs, and learn to think twice when the air starts turning colder.
Sufficient vacant ramble?  I think so.

Enjoy the pictures...

what can be said?

Pela today

If the overall outfit does not make her look like a Kolsto, I don't know what does.  Maybe the funk squirrel Jumpsuit...  Anyway, she's a hard sleeper when she gets there; like a baby, in fact.

These are the jingles I get on my phone.  Good mornings from my ladies.  Makes a man smile...

Kansas City

So, Kansas City is starting to feel more like home to us.  The weather is turning and promoting the seasonal nostalgic feeling.  This photo was taken off the top of the building I work from.  It's a cool latino neighborhood.  The liquor store sign at night is like Christmas time all year 'round.

The Case For Christ

No matter what you think or know about Christ, you should check out this film. It's the short attention span of the book of a similar name, of which I have not read.

Specifically if you haven't come to a place of decision about who Christ is, you should check this out. It's good to have the facts. I, in the too recent past, had not been taught the facts or any solid representation of scriptural truth, and I lived like it. Ask anyone who knew me seven or eight years ago, yes? - - - I am still working on it, but thankfully and hopefully, the only scars I am creating are on my spiritual a** that I drag. More on that later.

As one of the special feature fellows said, ask God to show you the truth of Christ. "The way to understand the Word of God is to first read it". Once you are reading and digging, buckle your seatbelt. It gets real, fast.

Pela, through Gail's lens

The Hills of North Carolina

Pela had fun with her new family, TJ & Gail over Thanksgiving. A good time was had by all. The snow is starting to happen in KC. We had a couple dustings this weekend.

I think that's it for now. Long stretches of Pela wide awake in the night leave us at a loss for words. It's worth it. She's a cutie.

much love to you all,
