On my way back from Ethiopia, I had a 7 hour layover in D.C.  Our good friends James and Michelle were kind enough to trek up from Baltimore and hang out.  Michelle is happily teaching younglings, and James is fighting in the world of business, trying to do good business in a doppelganger version of my job in a different industry.  Anyhow, thanks J&M, we love you.

weekend notes

we three K's made it out to the forest both days this past weekend.  We went to a conservation area called Burr Oak Woods, 20 miles east, and then to Swope Park in KC, where we got physical.  Great weather we had, and pela loved it as much as we did.  I don't know if she loved getting bit by a bug and bleeding down her neck.  Poor kid.  Can't talk, can't sign, "bug bit me" yet.
